Raemon Wilson is an experienced percussionist who works with an array of instruments to put on an extraordinary performance.
Raemon Wilson is extremely passionate about Music. He believes music is the way of life and that your talent is God’s Gift to you and what you do with it is your gift back to God.
He was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas. He grew up in a musically inclined family where they used their many talents and gifts to praise God.
Having been so passionate about music Raemon Wilson practices playing music diligently. He firmly believes that with music his purpose is to pass on his knowledge to others so that they can explore the wonders of music and be an inspiration for other individuals in generations to come.
In Nassau, Bahamas Raemon Wilson attended The Government High School where he was a part of the high school band, pop band and choir. He then later became one of the first original members of the Bahamas All Star Marching Band.
Throughout his final years of High school, he attended the National dance and Drum School of the Bahamas. During his Summers for the past six years he has worked as head drum instructor for the National Dance and drum summer intensive workshops. For his college experience at NEO he remained musically active in their marching band, concert band, pep band, pit orchestra and jazz.
Presently, Raemon is a part of MSSU’s marching band, wind ensemble, concert band, pep band, percussion ensemble, pit orchestra and he holds the title of principal Timpanist for the MSSU symphony orchestra. He also had the opportunity to be a part of Kansas City Royals’ thunder drumline. Additionally, He is a member of Jam session stage band a Bahamian originated group where he plays the drum set and piano.
Raemon Wilson won first place in the drumming contest for the Bahamas National Arts festival. He was pronounced one of the first national drummers of the Bahamas. He is also a part of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor’s society.
Raemon Wilson holds an associate’s degree in Liberal arts from North eastern Oklahoma and is currently obtaining a bachelor’s in Music Education from Missouri Southern State University.
